The Valley, Anguilla: They’ve hatched! It has been a
successful breeding season for the Cattle Gaulin nesting in
The Quarter.
First reported in January by Mr. Clive Smith of White
Hill (a first report for Anguilla), over 25 pairs of these
birds were nesting in the tall acacia trees near The
Valley’s traffic light. Almost sixty days later, over 30
young Gaulins have emerged from their nests and will soon be
ready to fledge.
