Date Posted: April 18, 2008.
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, - “As in every constellation of stars,
there are those stars who shine even brighter. These are our
2007 Pro Performers - and this evening is all about
you…showing our deep appreciation for the exceptional
contribution which these nine great colleagues have made to
FirstCaribbean.”
These comments from Chief Executive Officer, Charles Pink,
were in recognition of outstanding members of
FirstCaribbean’s team of employees across the Caribbean
region who were recently acknowledged for excellence in
performance and consistent quality of service when the Bank
hosted its 4th Annual Player of the Series Awards 2007
Saturday April 12th, at the Colony Club, Barbados.
The nine winners of the coveted “Player of the Series”
awards are drawn from all across the region and are Adette
Tillett, Client Services Supervisor, Local Processing
Centre, Belize; Arienne Jordan, Asst. Web Development
Officer, Barbados; Byron Miller, Branch Manager - Shirley
Street Branch Bahamas; Jeniece Richards, Senior Financial
Analyst, Cayman Islands; Paul Ashby, Business Support
Manager, Barbados; Maria Greaves, Trade Finance Officer, St.
Vincent; Jothan Davis, Client Service Support Officer, St
Vincent; and Priscilla Burlington, Transactional Banking
Manager, Grand Cayman.
The Player of the Series Awards are based on the Bank’s
values captured by the acronym
C-R-I-C-K-E-T representing Customer, Respect, Innovation,
Caribbean Commitment, Knowledge, Excellence and Teamwork,
and winners are assessed and nominated by their co-workers.
Ultimately aimed at rewarding professionalism and
performance across FirstCaribbean’s regional network, these
awards are the culmination of FirstCaribbean’s annual
employee recognition programme, drawing from the results of
the bank’s quarterly Pro-Performers Awards.
The CEO said the nine winners exemplified FirstCaribbean’s
Helpful Partner Universal Standards, which defined the
bank’s approach to enhancing the internal and external
customer experience.
“You will also notice that they have come from all levels
within our organisation. It is our firm belief that every
employee, from the most junior Customer Service
Representative, to the Executive Team, has a vital role to
play in shaping how we are viewed by our customers. Each and
all are accountable for ensuring that we live up to our
brand promise of “Get there together”, Pink said.
He added: “Teamwork, innovation, and a dedication to
creating an excellent customer experience are at the core of
FirstCaribbean’s values – the foundation on which we are
built”.
Employees chosen to carry the title Player of the Series are
those who exemplify FirstCaribbean's values; deliver
excellence in customer service; work as a team; consistently
go beyond the boundaries of their job requirements; and
motivate colleagues to aim for higher standards of
performance.
