Day one of the 1st of 2 Tests between Sri Lanka and West Indies
- played at Providence Stadium, Guyana, on 22,23,24,25,26 March 2008
Sri Lanka ended day one on 269 for 4, scoring at 2.98 runs per over. Sri
Lanka's BSM Warnapura scored 120 while Vandort and Sangakkara both contributed
with half centuries. West Indian fast bowler Jerome Taylor took 3 for
59 from his 18 overs.
Sulieman J. Benn making his test debut for West Indies,
bowled 18 overs for 46 runs.
