January 24, 2008: The Royal
Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) is investigating the
shooting death of an 18 year old young man who was killed
with a single bullet to the head, one day before his 19th
birthday.
The young man is believed to have been drawn out of bed by a
knock on the door of his home in George
Town, on Monday evening. According to police, he
appeared to have been shot upon opening the door. He was
found by his mother and pronounced dead on the scene my
emergency responders.
Police say they were currently questioning someone in
connection with the incident however they
continue to encourage members of the public who
may have
information to still come forward to assist the on-going
investigation.
In 2007, the Cayman Islands registered 1 shooting related
