Ocean Style
Magazine has released its newest issue which features former
Gucci model Nadine Willis on the cover. |
December
15, 2007, MIAMI, FL: The bi-monthly magazine features
Jamaican Nadine Willis, widely accepted as the Caribbean's
first supermodel in a striking editorial shot in the streets
of Havana by the highly acclaimed photographer Dagmara
Mituniewicz. Styled in fashions from John Paul Gautier to
Chanel and set amongst the decadent decay of this once great
city you will see Nadine as never before. Known for her
gregarious and outspoken persona Nadine shares her new
passion for music in an interview which touches on her
eventful life and colorful personality.
This issue also features event and wedding planner to the
stars Preston Bailey. From his New York City studio he
shared his many thoughts on a long career working with
celebrities galore. Preston's work has included the weddings
of Michael Douglas and Katherine Zeta-Jones and Donald Trump
to Melania Knauss, Oprah's 60th Birthday Bash and events for
Donna Karan, Laurence Fishbourne, Martha Stewart, John
Galliano, Bill Cosby, Regis Philbin and many others.
In 'The Rebelution has Begun' we interview Tanya Stephens
who Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley describes "Tanya
Stephens is a true Caribbean genius. If we understand that
the challenge of our generation is the liberation of the
mind, then she is to our generation what George Lamming,
Wilson Harris and the great Caribbean writers of the 50s and
60s were to the people of the region!" Here we catch up with
the Dancehall Diva in an illuminating one on one. |

Also in this issue
is an interview with Adam Stewart the recently appointed CEO
of Sandals Resorts. The 26 year old son of Caribbean
entrepreneur extraordinaire Butch Stewart takes the reins of
the resort empire and discusses the company's plans as it
develops itself as a fully-blown luxury brand.
Also inside is the first of the 'woman of influence' columns
which recognize Caribbean women for their accomplishments
across various fields of endeavor. This issue features Lisa
Ghany-Weeks of Trinidad's HCL Group (part of Lawrence
Duprey's CL Financial empire) and Novia Mcdonald-Whyte
Lifestyle Editor of the Jamaica Observer and maven of all
things fashionable from her Kingston perch.
In Momentos de Oro the magazine continues to raise the bar
with a fashion editorial that could just as easily be found
in Italian Vogue. Shot in the decaying but still impressive
architecture of Old Havana, photographer Dagmara brings
haute couture to life in this stunning editorial.
This issue captures the charismatic Caribbean from Cuba,
through Jamaica, along to Barbados and then Tobago where
photographer Colin Williams showcases high fashion in and
around this island paradise.
