TEMPO TURNS
TWO ARTIST LINEUP! |
OCTOBER
23, 2007…… TEMPO, the Caribbean’s only premier music and
entertainment channel, is gearing up for its spectacular
two-year anniversary to be held on November 10, 2007,
at the Rudolph Schulterbrandt Agricultural Complex in St.
Croix. Presented by the US Virgin Islands Department of
Tourism and numerous local sponsors, the event will feature
some of the Caribbean’s most-loved talent and artists,
focusing on TEMPO’s “Badness Outta Style” Pro-Social
Campaign.
The TEMPO family will be bringing the TEMPO in full force,
including Mr. TEMPO, himself, Founder Frederick Morton, Jr.
and Tempo VJs, Empress Jeanille, Island Girl Anushca, Hector
Lincoln, Jahbami, Jabba, Jamie Thomas, and Nikki D. Over
twelve acts are expected to perform.
Entertainers expected, include:
Luciano – The Messenger himself. An Enthusiastic
supporter of TEMPO since its inception, Luciano has appeared
in a promo with founder, Frederick Morton, and at the TEMPO
launch event on the island of Nevis. His spiritually
inspired roots rock reggae is the perfect compliment to
TEMPO's One Love Pro-Social Movement. Luciano brings showers
of blessings wherever he performs…
Mr. King – whose song, "Borderline", inspired the
“Badness Outta Style,” anti-violence campaign, is a reggae
artist you cannot miss. TEMPO has adopted this slogan as the
catch-phrase for its wide-reaching anti-violence campaign
that is at the forefront of TEMPO TURNS TWO. It’s only
fitting that Mr. King’s video for “Borderline” will be shot
on St. Croix at the concert...
Mr. Vegas – Another outspoken advocate for TEMPO, he
has made numerous videos that have made it on “Cross
Caribbean Countdown.” In fact, Mr. Vegas is the first artist
to have two videos on “CCC” at the same time with “Tek Weh
Yuself” and 'You're Gonna Need Me' . He has performed in
many TEMPO events, including Launch New York, Launch
Trinidad, and Launch St. Croix…
Ziggy Ranking – With his smash hit "Miserable Life"
and "Love How U Whining," currently No. 1 on the CCC…
Krosfyah – One of the greatest bands to hit the
Caribbean, with hits too numerous to mention, including “Sak
Passe,” “Road Jam,” “Pump me Up,” and “Sweating”…
And, a host of other top performers, including:
Notch - Building a bridge between Latin and Reggae
music, this former lead singer of Born Jamericans is a true
representation of the oneness of the Caribbean community…
Denise Belfon – Since her performance at TEMPO TURNS
ONE in St. Croix last year, she is back by popular demand.
For the first time the VI masses can see her perform her
track for the video “You Can Do It,” which was shot in
St.Croix…
CeCille - Following her hot performance on Tempo's
first launch event in Jamaica in 2005, Cecille has graced
the “Cross Caribbean Countdown” with hits like “Goodie”
which was number one for several weeks…
Jovi Rockwell - Fans eagerly await her performance of
her mega-hit 'You're gonna need me", featuring Mr. Vegas…
Ronnie Benjamin - This veteran in Cruzan Reggae will
be there to mesmerize the crowd…
JDPP Jammerz - Be prepared for a fantastic performance
from these 2007 Road March champions of St.Thomas…
Niyorah; Jahman; Danny I: Red I Band; Spectrum; Just
a 'cherry on top' to complete a phenomenal show…
And also, between sets, keeping the TEMPO just right, DJ
Poppy Pops and De Kamp.
What an event to remember… TEMPO TURNS TWO!!!
