| According to police
in the Bahamas a man in his mid-twenties was brutally gunned
down in an open area around 10:15pm on Friday September 28,
by a man that walked up to him as he stood by his car in a
normally busy area of Nassau. After being shot the victim
attempted to run but collapsed a short distance away. The
brazen gunman then stood over the victim and pumped several
more bullets into his body.
"It (was) a daring attack because firstly this is a
popular area," said Chief Superintendent Hulan
Hanna of the Royal Bahamas Police Force. "Secondly,
once the victim was struck initially the culprit was
determined to just take him out and so he pursued him, the
victim collapsed and the person continued pumping shots into
his body. So clearly this was daring and it’s another
unsettling development in what we see happening with these
slayings."
It was only the second murder for the month of September,
in a year that has seen the homicide rate increase by over
40%.
His death brought the murder toll to 56 for the country |
