2007: British Television Channel Four is to
feature a program highlighting several aspects of crime in
Jamaica on Friday.
The focus is expected to be on the high murder rate in the
country, the statistics for which have become much less
available to international media since 2005.
In addition, it expected to
highlight the police force which reportedly has fatally shot
more people per capita than almost any other police force
anywhere in the world.
The program is also expected to show data from a recent
visit of two reporters to uncover allegations of political
parties arming and funding violent gangs in return for
votes. |
