CARIMAC
Short course - Purposeful Speech Writing and Effective
Public Speaking |
June 15, 2007:
CARIMAC Summer School 2007 is underway. With the current
courses in Public Speaking and Effective Writing sold out,
CARIMAC has added a new course: "Purposeful Speech Writing
and Effective Public Speaking".
This course seeks to equip participants with knowledge and
skills that can be useful in areas of communication that
require speaking publicly to an audience. Its major premise
is that a speech, or public address, is a moment of
significance in an ongoing discourse. The course promotes
the concept that public speaking has a special role in
advocacy as a means of garnering support by sharing
information that will make audiences think, feel and act. |
