Rock de Tempo Fast and Safe - Tips from USVI Government |
May 30, 2007: Tempo the
Caribbean’s premier entertainment network is anticipating a
massive turnout for the Rock De Tempo concert scheduled for
June 9, 2007 at the Lionel Roberts Stadium in St. Thomas, US
Virgin Islands. In an effort to make it easy for attendees
to get to the venue, Tempo has teamed up with U.S. Virgin
Islands Government to issue the following transportation
tips:
Shuttles will be available from the following parking lots
to the venue:
Nisky Center Parking Lot
Addelita Cancryn School Parking Lot
Emile Griffith Ballpark Parking Lot
Charlotte Amalie High School Parking Lot
Roy Lester Schneider Hospital Parking Lot
WICO Dock at Havensight Parking Lot
The Virgin Islands Taxi Association will be providing
shuttles to the event at a low price of $3 each way.
Park and shuttling to the venue is a lot easier than trying
to drive there and find parking. |

Your vehicle will be in a secure environment. All of the
shuttle outposts will have security personnel on site.
Getting tied up in traffic means you spend more time in
traffic versus at the venue enjoying the show.
VIPD will be towing and ticketing illegally parked cars that
night, so why risk it? Getting ticketed and towed could run
you as much as $150 for the night versus $6 for a round-trip
from your parking location to and from the venue.
If you must drive, please car pool. Car-pooling cuts down on
traffic, saves on gas, and is good for the environment.
Many of the hotels are within walking distance. If you are
within a few blocks, burn a few calories and walk! |
