The world’s top bluewater anglers will now have the
opportunity to fish this first-class event, all while
earning valuable WBS points towards the World Tour.
The top 10 anglers in each division will earn an
invitation to the WBS Grand Championships at Los
Sueños, Costa Rica.
“We are honored to be part of this prestigious series”
said Lawrence Wheatley, Tournament Director. “We are
looking forward to welcoming anglers from all over to
experience the unsurpassed fishing our waters

It has also been announced that an agreement has been
reached with the San Juan International Billfish

Juan tournament, now in its 54th year, is one of the
world’s oldest running tournaments. This year’s winner
of the A.H. Riise BVI Billfish Tournament will receive
a free entry into the San Juan tournament. Likewise,
the winner of San Juan will receive a free entry into
the 2008 A.H. Riise BVI tournament.
“We are pleased to join forces with our friends from
the BVI, as it is one of our favorite places to fish,”
said Luis Infanzon, Tournament Director of the San
Juan International. “We are also looking forward to
welcoming their winner to the delights of fishing off
our shores.”
