Star Studded Rising of Atlantis - The Cove |

May 12, 2007: Atlantis, the spectacular resort ,
located on Paradise Island Bahamas, held the Grand Opening
of its billion dollar new wing, “The Cove” before a star and
dignitary
filled audience on Friday Evening. The international super
stars present included, performer Janet Jackson, Oprah
Winfrey, Whitney Houston, Micheal Jordan, Ashanti, Angela
Basset, Sean Connery, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Tyra Banks,
Quincy Jones and many more.

The resort, celebrated the opening of ‘The Cove’ - Phase
III in very elegant style - kicking off the festivities with a
filled ribbon cutting ceremony, leading into an
Atlantis-sized, star studded cocktail party.
Resort owner, and Mega Hotelier, Mr. Sol Kerzner opened the ribbon cutting
ceremony with remarks recalling the phenomenal success of
the two previous phases (Coral & Royal Towers) and
emphasizing his long term commitment to transforming and
enhancing Paradise Island. |

Under the graceful, luxurious lines of The Cove’s entrance -
newly elected, Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham, also added
formal remarks, recognizing the hugely positive impact that
the Kerzner project has had on the Bahamas tourism industry.
The Cove itself is stunning, both in the simplicity and
luxuriousness of the overall design. Clean lines and exotic
materials are the amazing background to the picture of
serenity.
An eye-popping Junkanoo fan-fare, signaled the end of
formalities and led the way to the Cove Pool cocktail party,
where taste bud tantalizing temptations were abundant.
Guests were treated to a fantastic live performance by Janet
Jackson and well-known stars were everywhere to be seen
mingling through the crowd.
