Sean Paul tops 26th annual Int'l
Reggae Awards |
May 8, 2007: DJ Sean Paul emerged as the major winner
of Friday night's International Reggae and World Music
Awards (IRAWMA) at the Apollo Theatre in New York City.
In addition to the Bob Marley Award for Entertainer of the
Year and the award for Recording Artiste of the Year, he
also took home trophies for Best Song and Best Crossover
Song (for Temperature) and was also named best Songwriter
and Most Popular Hip Hop Entertainer.
Tanya Stephens was named Best Female Vocalist, while Luciano
took the counterpart award as Best Male Vocalist. Buju
Banton was named Best Male DJ, and also won the award for
Best CD (for Too Bad), while Macka Diamond was named Best
Female DJ. |
