international bank names new executive director, retail banking
The newly appointed Executive Director, born in Grenada, began his career with Barclays Bank PLC in 1980 and served in a number of retail roles with that Bank in Antigua, Grenada and The Grenadines. He also held senior positions in Barclays’ retail and international banking units. In addition, Phillips was a key player in the core team, which launched FirstCaribbean’s International Banking business in the region. He is credited for building an established track record of outstanding financial results, particularly in the Residential Business segment of FirstCaribbean’s Retail business. Charles Pink, Chief Executive Officer at FirstCaribbean, welcomed Phillips to the Bank’s Executive Leadership Team. “It is a pleasure to welcome Rolf to his new position. We are confident that with his expertise and customer- and employee-focused approach to leadership, the Retail Banking business at FirstCaribbean International Bank will grow strongly,” he said. Phillips is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (UK), with professional qualifications in leadership, recruitment, retail credit management and adjudication and sales management. |
