Touch screen information display and dynamic video
presentations along with clear presentations of a wide range
of handsets are now part of the upgraded Digicel flagship
store.
Digicel started operations in Anguilla in December of 2005
and are presently engaged in a complete refresh of the brand
that has propelled itself to being one of the Caribbean’s
leading brands.
“We are committed to our core philosophy
which has made us the largest mobile network in the region,”
said country manager Stephenie Brooks, “these are building
and maintaining the best network, providing the best
coverage, delivering the best customer care and offering the
best value through our products and services.”
In a brief ceremony to officially open the upgraded store,
Jerry George, OECS PR Director, acknowledged the role that
Digicel has played in transforming the face to
telecommunications in Anguilla and the Caribbean region
wide.

As part of the opening, customers
purchasing top up credit of EC$10 – EC$50 dollars will had
their credit doubled on Friday.
Additionally, the public was treated to a Digicel Block
party compliments telecommunications giant on Saturday
evening. There were planned performances from Exodus,
Infusion, with DJ Yooshe. Unfortunately, the rain prevented
Exodus from performing but the crowd enjoyed themselves and
had a good time. Appearances by the Moco Jumbies were an
added element of excitement and fun.

“This is a community event,” the country
manager said, “we are doing this in conjunction with the
Anguilla Pony Baseball/Softball who will be having a BBQ and
sell drinks as a fund raiser. All proceeds belong to the
Club.”

country manager went on to say.
