Update -The information reflected in the chart above, is current
to May 07, 2008.
The latest figures for April 30 through May 07,
show a higher number of reported offences than
the previous week. The trend in the chart shows incremental
increases over the past three weeks, paralleling increases
in reports of theft. Items stolen in general have included
small personal items such as; cellular phones, car keys,
iPods and small amounts of cash. Of note this month however,
in addition to such items, police received reports of the
theft of a boat engine, a jack hammer, a scooter, a Dewalt
drill, a nail gun and in one instance forty (40) sheets of
plywood.
In addition, five burglaries occurred at homes in
the The Valley, Sea Feathers Bay, East End, and Cauls
Bottom. The items reported stolen in the burglaries
included, jewelry, one beach umbrella, one Bar-B-Q Grill,
one Ps2 game, two cellular phones and one water pump.
The other crimes reported during the week included one
incident of grievous bodily harm , one report of indecent
assault, one report of robbery and
two (2) reports of criminal damage.
During this period there were also were seven (07) traffic
accidents, all of which were categorized as minor.
