CCB’s Young Investor Club Program Website Launch a Success !

Date Posted: April 10, 2008.

The Caribbean Commercial Bank announces the successful launch of its Young Investor Club Program Website. The official launch of the Young Investors Club Program Website was held on April 5th 2008 at Play-a-Round.

Children of all ages as well as parents crowded the grounds of Play-a-Round to learn the advantages of the new product and its website.

The Young Investors Club Program consists of the Newborn Babe Savings Account, the Young Investors Club Savings Account (YIC) and the newly introduced Young Investor- Teen (YIT). The Newborn Babe and Young Investor Club Savings Account have been in existence for several years. In order to better serve the needs of its customers the Bank found it necessary to improve the existing accounts and create a teen specific account. The aim of the event was to educate customers on the YIC Program and formally introduce the website to both existing and potential customers.

The afternoon began with opening remarks from the Bank’s Public Relations Officer, Ms. Cherecia Lewis. Ms. Lewis spoke on the vast benefits to be gained from the new initiative and how the newly created websites could help customers to maximize on these benefits. According to Ms. Lewis “ CCB values its customers highly and will spare no effort in ensuring that our customers’ needs are adequately met. The Bank sees the new websites as a pathway to accomplishing this feat”. She went on further to list some of the added features associated with the website. Some of these features include financial tips, tools and information regarding newborns and parenting, flash games, savings calculators, downloadable coloring pages and information on YIC events.

Some of the benefits of these special youth accounts include a higher interest rate, savings coupons that can be used at grocery stores throughout the island, continuous give-a-ways and prizes and first-hand information on special opportunities, promotions and events. The website also provides a link to the Bank’s online banking section which allows customers to view transaction history, pay utility bills, make transfers between accounts and much more.

The afternoon’s activities included group presentations based on the ages and specific needs of the attendees. They were educated on either the Newborn Babe website, Young Investors Club website or Young Investors Teen website. Existing and potential customers were able to gain greater insight on the new and improved products as well as gain hands on experience with the website. Children were given the opportunity to play some of the games available on the website and parents gained knowledge on how they could systematically plan their savings goals through the use of CCB’s online savings calculator.

The afternoon continued with the serving of eats and drinks and children could be seen throughout the compounds playing miniature golf and enjoying the bouncing castles. Persons interested in the products were also able to complete applications onsite.

CCB encourages the general public to take advantage of this great offer.
