NBA
Financial Literacy Month – “It Pays to Save”
Date Posted: April 04, 2008.
The National Bank of Anguilla Ltd. has declared April, NBA
Financial Literacy Month under the theme “It Pays to Save”.
Financial literacy enables individuals to make appropriate
decisions in managing their personal finances, which is
integral to their financial well-being. NBA’s key focus for
this initiative is to raise the level of financial literacy
amongst the Bank’s customers and the general public so that
they can be in a position to make sound financial decisions
for themselves.
Ms. Marisa Gumbs, NBA’s Market Research & Business
Development Officer stated that “One of the objectives of
this is to educate the public on the various products and
services NBA offers and how each product could be of benefit
at some stage in an individual’s life, from childhood to
retirement.”
Ms. Gumbs further stated that “Recognizing the time
constraints most individuals are faced with-working long
days and nights, with very little time to seek the
information hence increasing the misfortune of making
uneducated financial decisions which can result in
devastation. NBA is willing to go the extra mile to ensure
that everyone has an opportunity to learn how maximizing the
use of NBA’s various offerings can prove highly beneficial
to them.”
During the period April 1st to April 30th,
2008 NBA representatives will be making presentations to
employees of various organizations at the workplace; at
which time, persons will have the opportunity to learn more
about the various savings products and services that the
Bank has to offer. These range from its Term Deposits to its
Individual Retirement Savings Plan and Investment Services,
and also the basics about saving money.
NBA’s Financial Literacy Month is a time to learn, a time to
plan and most importantly a time to make educated financial
decisions.
Do not miss out on this opportunity to educate yourself and
your staff. If you are interested in having a presentation
done to your staff, kindly contact the NBA’s Marketing
department at 497-2007 ext. 315 or 302
