School - EAST END.
Some 28 projects were on display for the recently concluded
Public Primary Schools Science Fair which was held at the
Campus B auditorium from the 25th -26th March 2008. Students
impressed the visitors with the quality of their work and
the excitement they displayed about their projects. The
projects were entered in Physical, Technology, Life
and Environmental Science categories.
During the brief closing ceremony, a short address was
delivered by Ms. Sandra Fahie, who encouraged students to
continue working hard, highlighting that the next great
scientist could be sitting in the audience. A student from
Valley Primary, Sheslyn Gumbs in her brief remarks indicated
that participants learnt a lot as they employed a variety of
skills to help them complete their projects. On behalf of
the students she also thanked all teachers and members of
the general public who assisted them.
The organizers would like to extend a special thank you to Mr. Curt Harris for sponsoring the 2008 Science Fair.
The projects were judged on the basis of scientific thought,
