Tribute to
the Anguillan Community - Letter to the Editor

"Witnessing the coming together of the people of Anguilla
during the search and rescue of Sam 'Miracle' Webster was a
most heartfelt and inspiring happening for my wife and me.
During our stay with Ann and 'Smitty' Smith of Island
Harbour we were blessed to be able to observe the love for
one another and faith of the Anguillan community. What we
witnessed was a God given miracle and a testimony to the
spirit, faith, and love that the people of Anguilla have for
one another. The combination of faith and will to survive
overwhelmed us. The mass gathering of the whole community at
the wharf in Island Harbour, the relentless effort of those
searching for Sam, and the faith of all those standing vigil
produced the miracle of his rescue.
All Anguillans should be very proud of their heritage, their
community, and their love for one another. We thank you for
showing us the beauty of true human faith, love, and
caring."
