Plans are well on the way for the fourth annual Panache Couture fashion show
scheduled for this summer under the theme "Fashion Care".
The event is scheduled for Sunday July 6 and according to founder/designer
Charla Connor, "it will be a fashionable dedication to causes that are
prevalent in our society".
"We have decided to focus on five of these causes;
namely, Breast Cancer, Diabetes, AIDS, Environmental
Awareness, and foremost Violence. Our goal is to bring an awareness
of each of these causes to the wide audience that our productions usually
attract. Through colour, texture, style and the art we endeavour to evoke
curiosity, appreciation, pride and concern respectively" said Charla in
communication with AnguillaLNT.
The highlight of this year’s show is expected to be a a self titled
presentation-”STOP VIOLENCE,” urging the public, particularly the youth, to stop
violence in our community.
In their unique, highly regarded production, Panache Couture is seeking to
unselfishly send a positive message and be involved in the issues that affect
our island and its people.
