Johnno’s 2008 Beach Clean-Up Programme

Date Posted: March 16, 2008

Johnno’s Beach Clean-up Programme, sponsored by Digicel and facilitated by the Anguilla National Trust, is inviting all of Anguilla’s youth groups/organisations to participate in an on-going national campaign to keep Anguilla’s beaches clean.

Each group/organisation will be offered an incentive of US$5.00 per bag for human-generated trash collected from the beaches. Garbage bags will be provided to participants along with water, soft drinks, and breakfast catered by Johnno’s in Sandy Ground.

This clean-up effort provides an opportunity for groups to both raise funds and perform a much-needed community service.

The clean-ups take place every Saturday morning beginning at 6.30am on 22 March.

Clean-up Schedule:
22 March 2008 – Island Harbour
29 March 2008 – Sandy Ground
5 April 2008 – Blowing Point
12 April 2008 – Savannah Bay
19 April 2008 – Forest Bay
