(The Valley, Anguilla) February, 27, 2008: Cable and
Wireless, Anguilla's longest serving telecommunications
company, today held a brief ceremony ay Telecoms House in
The Valley to present prizes to the three winners of this
year's Valentine's texting competition. The competition,
which ran for two weeks, was open to all Cable & Wireless
mobile customers as well as Dee Jays at five of the islands
most popular radio stations.
Ms Carlyn Carty of South Valley won herself a pink
Samsung U600 valued at EC$1065 for first prize, with the
second prize going Ms Necola Carty of North Side. Ms Carty
was quite pleased with her prize of EC$250 free credit. This
year’s winning DJ was Mr Cleo Hamm of Radio Anguilla who is
now the proud owner of a Motorola V8 valued at EC$1249.00.

Customers were asked simply to text the frequency of
their favourite local radio station to 5683 (LOVE) for a
chance for them and their favourite DJ to win. C&W customers
and the DJ with the most texts over the two week period of
the promotion emerged the winners. |
