21, 2007: All is going as planned according to
organizers of the 1st annual Jeff Webster memorial boat race
scheduled for Sunday, February 24. The avid sea lover with
an effervescent personality, died March 31, 2007 at age 36
while spear-fishing in waters off Road Bay.
On Sunday, several A-Class boats are expected to race
from Road Bay starting at about 1:30pm, heading North and
East to Island Harbour, Jeff's home village. A B-Class race
is scheduled to sail the same route starting at 9:30am.
Action will also begin at Koko's Beach Bar in
Island Harbour at 9:00am with live music, discounted food
and refreshments. Three bands - the Total Satisfaction Band,
Better Band and Exodus Band will be providing entertainment
throughout the day until midnight.
Jeff's memory is well worth preserving, go out and
celebrate it. |
