ATB Hosts A
Villa Familiarisation Workshop For Members Of The Royal
Anguilla Police Service
February 20, 2008: The Anguilla Tourist Board
recently hosted the first of what is to be a series of
ongoing familiarisation exercises and field trips with the
aim of enabling beat and patrol officers of the Royal
Anguilla Police Service who are often the first responders
to calls to be better equipped to respond quickly and
efficiently to any unforeseen breeches of safety at any
Villa or Villa related property.
The first session conducted on February 9th, 2008 began the
series. The morning began with an overview of the Anguilla
Tourism Product, and a question and answer session. This was
followed by an island Tour which included stops and drive-thrus
to various parts of the island where Villas are
concentrated. The Officers were also treated to lunch at
Smokey’s Restaurant at the Cove Bay. The ATB envisions that
these seminars and field exercises will continue until each
Officer of the rank and file of the Royal Anguilla Police
Service has been exposed to the familiarisation exercise.
