August 08, 2007: The eagle sailed nicely into a massive victory for the CCB sponsored August
Wednesday boat race. Earlier 10 boats
managed to set sail from Sandy Ground on a moderately windy
afternoon for the race to blowing point and back. Boats such as the Chan never left the harbour and others such as the NWO, Satellite and Sonic encountered problems at
sea that meant they had to exit the race prematurely. As usual , at least a
couple dozen cars could be seen following the boats on land while listening to
the exciting coverage of Mr. Cool (Harris Richardson) on HBR radio.
The race is not as hyped as August Monday or August Thursday but arguably it is
one of the most exciting to watch on land for the August week.
