31, 2007: On Sunday, With
the official opening of carnival just days away, the seven lovely dream
girls vying for the coveted Miss Anguilla title, gave a packed carnival village
an exciting taste of what is to come. In a beautiful array of colors and well
choreographed stage presence, they introduced themselves and then modeled skin
fitted swimsuits followed by lush costumes. This was all done to
accompanying music and adoring fans. "Well worth the money" was the thought
echoing from many who paid the US$10.00 entrance fee. With such a spectacular
preliminary event the expectations are high for this most prestigious pageant on
the carnival calendar.
Carnival officially opens on August 2nd and the Miss Anguilla Queen Show is
slated for Thursday August 9th.
