July 24, 2007: SW Productions and The Cricket
Commentators association are promising a spectacular Miss
Ecstasy Pageant for 2007. This highly anticipated feature on
the Anguilla Summer Calendar is slated for 8:30pm on
Saturday July 28th at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Center.
Organizers of the event, Susan Webster from SW
productions and Alkins Rogers of The Cricket Commentators
Association appeared on HBR radio this afternoon to announce
that a field of 13 contestants will appear in the pageant
and they will be complemented on stage, by an exciting team
of Brazilian Dancers, the Miss Anguilla Contestants
and music by Gossip and the Boys.
Contestants are expected from Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados,
British Virgin Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Dominican
Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts
and Trinidad.
The show will consist of five segments:
- Introductory Speech
- Swimsuit
- Future Shock
- Talent
- Interview & Evening Wear
The show is in its 11th year and has always been highly
organized and very well produced. Despite this however,
organizers explained that it was only financially feasible
this year because of the generosity of their sponsors and a
significant contribution from the Government of Anguilla
which covered approximately 45% of their outstanding debt. |
