  More planned protests for midweek
July 15, 2007 Anguillanews.com has learnt that a protest meeting is being planned for mid next week in The Valley to reiterate calls for the resignation of the Chief Minister and his Government.

It is believed that calls for a Judicial Inquiry into several matters including  the government's knowledge of alleged human trafficking will be announced and a petition circulated for signatures.

We have further learnt that a protest march is being planned for Thursday at which time the group hopes to present the signed petition to the Governor. In an unprecedented move, it is expected that protestors will march to the Governor's residence.

The organizers of the event appear to be different to the organizers of meeting held in Blowing point on Friday  July 13, and it is believed that some speakers are still being recruited.

This story is developing and we will provide follow-up coverage...
