According to the Caymannet News
"Anguillian Government officials took the opportunity to
tour several Cayman Islands Government departments while in
Grand Cayman from Tuesday 5 to Friday 8 June for the
e-Government conference hosted by COMSEC and the Portfolio
of the Civil Service.
On Wednesday, 6 June the Anguillian delegation visited the
Lands and Survey Department's Britcay offices for a tour and
presentations by Director of Lands and Survey Alan Jones,
GIS Development Manager Garry Green, Registrar of Lands Ann
Kirchman and Valuation Assistant Iain Franklin, covering the
electronic land registry process and GIS (graphical
information systems) applications.
On the following day the Anguillian team paid a visit to the
Planning Department where they received a tour by Director
of Planning Kenneth Ebanks and a presentation on the
department's planning process and their use of technology by
Assistant Director of Planning Haroon Pandohie.
At the weekly post-Cabinet press briefing held on Friday, 8
June, Leader of Government Hon Kurt Tibbetts commented on
the Anguilla visits: "Our government is pleased to offer
advice to our fellow Caribbean countries as they shape their
policies and implement technology measures."
