The
National Bank of Anguilla (NBA) launches NBA Investment
Services |
March 9, 2007: The National Bank of Anguilla held a
gala ceremony at the Cuisinart Resort & Spa on Tuesday March
6, for the official launch of NBA Investment Services, a
service that will give its customers personally tailored
investment opportunities typically available only in the
world’s financial capitals for the same associated fees.
The ceremony was chaired by Ms. Marisa Gumbs, Market
Research & Business Development Officer of the Bank. Remarks
were presented by

- Wealth Management Financial Planning Specialist The Morgan

General Manager ,Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange (ECSE)
Mr Payne said that it was “ befitting at this time with the
attractiveness of Anguilla to foreign investors for NBA to
be re-launching its Investment Services. In an increasingly
globalized marketplace, NBA has made its mark locally,
regionally, and to a degree internationally. We have always
prided ourselves on being “first to market” in Banking on
Anguilla, in providing innovative products and services to
meet the growing needs of our clients. With the recent
opening of the NBA (Private Banking & Trust) Ltd, we now
provide services to International clients in a manner that
is expected at any International Bank. “
According to ECSE’s manager Mr. Blake, “As a licensed full
service broker-dealer, NBA is now authorised to buy and sell
securities on its own and on its customers’ behalf; to offer
investment banking services – such as underwriting and
pricing of issues, preparation of prospectuses and
distribution; management of portfolios of securities for
customers; holding securities in nominee names for clients,
and to provide investment advice based on research and
analyses. These services are to be provided through the
members of NBA’s Investment Services Team, who are also
licensed by the Commission and registered with the ECSE as
representatives and principals, and who have exclusive
access to the ECSE’s trading platform.”
