The
National Bank of Anguilla (NBA) announces plans to construct
a New Branch in West End. |

March 9, 2007: The National Bank of Anguilla Ltd. today announced its plan
to construct a new full service branch in West End. The
Bank’s CEO Mr. E. Valentine Banks said that “construction is
expected to begin shortly and it is anticipated that the
project will be completed within the next 18 months”. Mr.
Banks said “The new branch will be housed in a building
which has been designed to accommodate three (3) floors. He
continued “NBA prides itself on aggressively anticipating
the needs of the public and therefore, proactively leads the
way to meet and fulfill those needs”.
With the current and
anticipated rise in economic activity occurring on Anguilla
in the western areas of the Island, the Bank sees this new
branch as a necessity in order to continue to provide
service delivery channels to its customers and the wider
Anguilla community. It is anticipated that this new NBA
branch will assist the banks customers in the area as they
will be able to avoid traffic congestion on the roads to the
Valley. Its customers generally will also be beneficiaries
of the additional numbers of customer service
representatives at its facilities.
The West End branch will
be a full service banking facility with all the Banks
competitive array of products and services. One feature of
NBA’s West End branch will be a modern two (2) lane drive
thru facility which will accommodate the handling of up to
four customer vehicles at a time. Other features will
include a drive-up ATM and drive-up Night deposit box.
The Chief Executive
Officer of the Bank, Mr. E. Valentine Banks, expressed that:
“it is most befitting of the Bank to make this announcement
on this day, for it was exactly 22 years ago (March 8th,
1985) that NBA opened its doors to the public after
acquiring the Anguilla branch of Bank of America. Twenty
two (22) years ago the Bank’s staff complement was twelve
(12) and today that number has increased to eighty-two
(82). With the addition of the new branch at West End NBA
recognises that we will also be making more job
opportunities available as we strive to provide the best
service while continuing our involvement in shaping the
future economic landscape of the Island.” |
