Young Artists/Writers Win with Liat
Anguillian Clemaurde Gumbs wins first place in Art Category 14-18.

News Release

February 26th, 2007:  LIAT (1974) Ltd is pleased to announce the winners of its Art and Essay competition which was launched in October 2006 as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations.
LIAT recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary with the hosting of an Art and Essay Competition which received a significant number of entries from schools across the Caribbean. Entries were divided into age categories ranging from four (4) to eighteen (18) years of age. The first prize winner in each category wins a fully loaded computer, a trophy, a certificate of participation and a LIAT ticket to a destination of choice.

The results of these competitions are as follows:

ART Results

Category 4 – 7yrs 
      

  • 1st place – Xouria Jefferson, Crabb Hill, St. Kitts
  • 2nd place  -  Annie Kehl, Bird Rock, St. Kitts.

Category 8 – 13yrs     

  • 1st place  -  Jamie Gardner, Potters Extension Antigua
  • 2nd place  -  Chelsey Hadeed, Crosbies, Antigua
  • 3rd place  -  Jeniece St. Romain, Briggins Dev., Antigua.
