Anguilla to battle in Final Four contest U-15 competition this weekend
February 9, 2007 - Cricket: Anguilla will be one of four teams
competing for the top position in the Leeward Islands Cricket
Association's Under-15 final four competition in neighboring Antigua
this weekend.
Both matches will be played on Saturday February 10th at 9:30a.m with
hosts Antigua taking on Anguilla and Montserrat battling St. Kitts.
The two semi-finals winners will advance to the final at Falmouth on
Sunday.
All four teams reached the final four by finishing amongst the
top two teams at the end of two preliminary matches.
St. Kitts and Antigua were both undefeated in their preliminary matches.
Anguilla won against Nevis but had lost to St. Kitts in its group while
Montserrat defeated St. Maarten and lost to Antigua in their group.
A squad to represent the Leeward Islands in this year’s West Indies
Under-15 tournament in April will be selected at the end of this
weekend’s matches.
