‘Digicel at Home’ is now a Reality
The Valley, Anguilla (February 5, 2007) – Digicel, announced today
that it is making its mobile service even more convenient and economical
to residents of Anguilla, with the launch of its ‘Digicel at Home’
campaign and the availability of the Jalbatron GDP-02 GSM Desktop Phone. While these very versatile mobile handsets have been in circulation in Anguilla for the past few months specifically to the corporate community, the demand to make them available to the wider market has been phenomenal as residents try to diversify their mobile telecommunication and control their overall communication costs, remarked Stephenie Brooks –Manager, Digicel Anguilla. With the ‘Digicel at Home’ service, residents now have the convenient alternative to the traditional home phone and can choose between prepaid or postpaid service; take advantage of Digicel’s low call rates; send or receive text messages from your Digicel Home Phone and most importantly, there are no monthly rental fee. For residential use, the ‘Digicel at Home’ service is perfect for those customers who don’t necessarily make a lot of calls from the traditional home phone but want to be contactable or want to be able to make mobile calls without the additional costs. In the case of business use, a typical three minutes business call to a mobile customer would cost $1.80c at present fixed to mobile rates; with a Digicel GSM desktop phone, the savings on a similar call would be huge with our 2c after 2mins on network call rate for prepaid activations, that call would costs $1.02c. Digicel Manager Stephenie Brooks says, “Digicel is always looking for new and innovative ways to enhance our customer’s mobile telecommunication experience and the introduction of ‘Digicel at Home’ today, is yet another first that Digicel has brought to Anguilla.” In just over a year of operation in Anguilla, Digicel has established itself by offering its customers a state of the art network and service options to fit their every need and continue to reaffirm its single minded proposition of Expect More. Get More. |
