The general public is informed that the four (4)
Commercial Banks on the Island; namely, The Caribbean Commercial Bank,
National Bank of Anguilla Ltd, First Caribbean International Bank and
ScotiaBank Anguilla Ltd., will be open to the public from 8:00am to
1:00pm on Monday December 24th, 2007 and will be open from 8am to
1pm on Monday December 31st, 2007.
Please note that the Banks will be closed on December 25th
and 26th, 2007 and also on Tuesday January 1st 2008.
Regular banking hours will resume on Wednesday January 2nd, 2008. |

year old Jamaican National (M.L.) has been charged with the
murder of Jovan Guishard.

Police Investigations Continue:
Police released few official details on Saturday when questioned
concerning the death of Jovan Guishard (18), a young man who was stabbed during a
confrontation with another male on Friday evening. They did confirm
however, that one male is in custody for questioning in relation
to the matter and investigations are continuing.

in boat accident |
December 3rd, 2007:
Boating accident leaves at least 4 with serious injuries. A
boating accident occurred on Sunday between a fishing vessel
captained by Junior Thomas and owned by Tyrone Richardson, and a
pleasure craft captained by Douglas Carty in the region off Crocus Bay. According to reliable
sources, the fishing vessel was on its way back from Sandy Island to
Crocus Bay for mooring, when the accident occurred. Police say four persons
on the fishing boat were injured and that three of them, 2
children and Captain Thomas were in serious condition.
An alleged lack of running lights on one of the vessels may have been
the cause of the accident. |
